NCL has officially eased up on the sacred cruising rule of “NO JEANS” in the dining rooms at night. To keep the more formal clients happy they are keeping one restaurant on each ship jeans-free. Considering the amount of time many people spend in jeans this is probably a welcomed change.
While on a Holland America ship this past year, I saw jeans in the dining room many times. Guess it just depends who feels like being the enforcer on each ship. I’ve always worn my jeans on the first night of almost every cruise. The luggage might not have made it to the room.. although actually that has never happened to me. First night is the most casual – just the way it is.
Will Royal Caribbean follow suit? They have the youngest customer base… Stay tuned for more changes in the cruise world.
